Wart Removal
Dermatologist-led. Diagnosis first. Evidence-based.
Warts are common, harmless skin growths caused by a virus, but they can spread, hurt and keep coming back. Our dermatologists in Bhubaneswar and Delhi confirm the diagnosis and choose the removal method that suits the wart and its location.
A dermatologist-led approach, start to finish.
Not a parlour session. Every plan is shaped by an examination, your history and what the evidence supports.
Diagnosis first
A dermatologist examines your skin, often with dermoscopy, before any treatment is chosen.
Doctor-planned treatment
Every plan is set and supervised by an MD dermatologist, not decided at a reception desk.
Clear plan, no surprises
You hear the number of sessions, the aftercare and what a realistic result looks like before you start.
Follow-up that adjusts
Progress is reviewed at each visit and the plan changes if your skin needs something different.
What are warts?
Warts are small, rough growths caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) infecting the top layer of the skin. They spread through direct contact and from shared surfaces such as floors, towels and razors, and they grow more easily on skin that is cut, scratched or damp.
Many warts fade on their own, but that can take months or years, and in the meantime they can multiply. Warts on the feet can be painful to walk on, and warts on the face or around the nails are often a cosmetic concern. A dermatologist also makes sure the growth really is a wart and not a corn, mole or another skin lesion.
- Caused by a virus (HPV), not by poor hygiene
- Spread by touch and shared surfaces
- Can multiply and come back after treatment
- Genital warts need a separate, confidential assessment
How warts form, and how removal works.
Removal destroys the infected skin cells and gives your immune system the chance to clear the virus.
A viral infection
HPV enters through tiny breaks in the skin and makes the top layer grow into a rough bump.
Removing the infected cells
Freezing, radiofrequency or electrocautery ablation, or prescription treatments destroy the wart tissue.
The immune system finishes the job
Treatment helps the body recognise and clear the virus, which lowers the chance of new warts.
Why see a dermatologist for warts
Correct diagnosis
Corns, skin tags, moles and some skin cancers can look like warts; a dermatologist tells them apart.
The right method
Cryotherapy, ablation or topical treatment is chosen for the wart's size, number and site.
Less scarring
Controlled treatment of only the affected skin keeps marks to a minimum.
Fewer recurrences
Aftercare and checks on family members help stop warts from spreading back.
Types of warts we treat
The type and location decide which removal method is best.
